Has a bike featured at the International Bike Show. Nice gs1000s Wes Cooley tribute. Dude finished it and almost rode it the next day from Chicago to Portland, Maine to visit, but realized the seat might be not too comfy for the long haul, so he rode his Electra Glide out instead. If you go - check him out
he was going for a streetable version of this

Killer bike, does he have a build thread or a page with the specs on it? I'd like some more information on that front end swap. Some more pictures wouldn't hurt either.

Is this bike local to Chicago? I've seen something very similar to it in front of 5 Star on Chicago Ave.

I have a 1978 and 1979 GS1000e. I would love to have an original 79 GS1000S to restore. I am starting the concours restoration on my 78 this summer, and a street fighter / café restoration on the 79 next winter. they will both have the "Skunk Bike" paint job.
